Meet the Staff of Central Coast

Becca Lamont, Local Director

Becca Lamont came on board as our Local Director in July 2019 after a decade of teaching history in the public schools. Originally from Philadelphia and Minneapolis, Becca graduated with a BA in Sociology and Psychology from Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, GA. She went on to get her MA in Teaching at Bethel University in St Paul, MN. She served for three years in Bolivia, South America as a teacher missionary. She moved to Salinas in 2015 and does not plan on leaving anytime soon, since this is the first time in her life that she hasn’t been landlocked!

Christy Candelario, Ministry Coordinator

Christy joined the NorCal Central Coast team in March 2020 as the Ministry Coordinator. Christy has served with CEF through Good News Clubs since her senior year of high school. She is grateful to have had missions opportunities in Central Asia, Brazil, Iceland and several other countries. While attending seminary, she interned with a children’s pastor at Open Door Church in Raleigh, NC. Christy was born and raised in Tallahassee, FL. She went to college at Liberty University where she received a BA in Global Studies and then she went on to Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary to get her MA in Ministry Leadership. Christy and her husband, James, attend Lighthouse Baptist Church in Seaside, CA.

Elizabeth Chavez, Administrative Assistant

Elizabeth Chavez became the Administrative Assistant in November of 2019. Elizabeth was born and raised in Monterey County and is a member of Calvary Monterey where she serves on the production (A/V) team. She is currently working on obtaining her Bachelor’s Degree in Business at the California State University of Monterey Bay.
