Become A Volunteer

We welcome volunteers of all ages and walks of life!

CEF is a Bible-centered organization composed of born-again believers whose purpose is to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to disciple them in the Word of God and in a local church for Christian living. All volunteers and staff are required to complete a Volunteer Form (below), which includes a background check, before we train you to work with children.

Google Form Volunteer Paperwork - Click Below!

Volunteering in one of our Good News Clubs is as easy as 1-2-3-4! Click the image (left) to fill out your volunteer paper work via a Google Form.

1: Background Check (18 and over, done every 5 years. Volunteers under 18 will be asked for 3 references in lieu of the background check.)

2: Child Protection Policy (signed yearly)

3: Statement of Faith (signed once)

4: Worker's Compliance Agreement (signed yearly)

Local Board Member Opportunities

The Local Board is an integral part to our ministry. They provide vision, oversight and community connections that allows us to grow each year. The board meets monthly for 1.5 hours and spends an average of an additional hour each month helping the ministry. They should love Jesus, evangelism and the Gospel and have a heart for children to come to Christ.

If you or someone you know is interested in joining our Local Board, please email our director becca.lamont@cefnorcal.org to set up a phone interview to learn more about this dynamic group of people.

Our current needs include:

1. Treasurer: this person should have a working knowledge of budgeting and reading Statements of Activity put together by our CPA.

2. Prayer Chair: this person should have a heart for our ministry and a desire to bring our prayer requests to our community, as well as build up our prayer base.

3. General Members: these people should be willing and able to contribute to the Board with their skills and talents. They can come from any walk of life: from farmers to teachers, from retail workers to lawyers, your love for children and the Gospel can be used!

Our Local Board; CC for Central Coast!
