Proclaim the Good News!

  We are celebrating the launch of Good News Club ministry this week!  As of today, we are approved for 42 sites and many more are still pending.   There have been new challenges with new legislation governing volunteers but we are blessed to have 216 volunteers returning this semester.  But, there are more that have applied and will be trained each week to augment teams and establish new school sites.

     In this passage of Luke, Jesus called the Twelve together and gave them instructions, empowered them to do His work  and sent them out.  As we conducted Back To School meetings in August we gave updates on policies, distributed curriculum supplies, and prayed for God’s protection over our beloved volunteers.  There is no limit to what God can do through these faithful servants as they go from school to school, sharing the Good News of Jesus Christ!

     Please continue to help us recruit more Christians who understand the importance of reaching children for Christ and want to actively participate in changing their eternal destiny.  Our culture is eroding at a rapid pace. Evil influences are in all forms of media.  It’s nearly impossible to shield the innocent children from these forces.  But we can introduce them to Jesus, and teach them of His love and sacrifice and how to have their sins forgiven.  There is no greater gift.

Praise & Prayer

Praise God with us for:

1. The Good News of Jesus Christ, foretold in the Old Testament and fully realized in the New Testament.  Our hope is in the One True Way – Jesus!
2. Faithful volunteers committed to serve the Lord with us.
3. The prayer warriors who fervently pray for protection and provision of all ministry needs.

Please pray with us for:

1. Pending schools to be approved so that schedules can be maintained.
2. Approval at Farmersville School District that require requests to be made in person at school board meeting on Tuesday, September 13th.
3. Golf registrations and Sponsors to be made before the deadline, enabling us to complete all required preparations for the event.
4. Pray that many children will be enrolled and able to attend from the very first day of Club and not miss an opportunity to believe in Jesus as their Savior.
