This sweet song has been around a long time!  I’m not sure that it was written within CEF, but it is an “oldie and a goodie.”  I can remember shouting the “EXTRA” as loud as I could as a child and enjoyed singing this song while teaching Good News Club when my sons were still in elementary school.  I hope you will be reminded of a similar memory.  For those of us who believed in Jesus at a young age, we have the great privilege of that personal relationship through the years.  That’s what we desire and pray for this year as children attend the afterschool Good News Club.

Praise & Prayer

Praise God with us for:

1. Christ, who paid the price on the cross so we can be saved eternally!
2. Open school campuses and many children gathering again in Good News Club this week.  Based primarily on online registrations, we had 344 enrolled in the first 3 days!
3. Approval to use facilities at Snowden Elementary in Farmersville School District!  Ruth Diaz, Field Missionary, did a great job at the school board meeting.  Thank you for praying for her!
4. Those who have registered and sponsored the golf tournament so far.  We are grateful for the Golf Committee and the leadership of Christian men who understand the importance of reaching children for Christ.

Please pray with us for:

1. Additional volunteer applicants to train for more schools.  While we have ministry approved for 47 schools today, we are getting many requests from parents for a Good News Club at their child’s school.  Please pray and promote this need with your friends, family and Bible study groups.
2. Receptive parents willing to register their children for Club and remove all obstacles that might hinder the children from hearing about Jesus. 
3. Golf registrations and Sponsorships to be made before the deadline, enabling us to complete all required preparations for the event.
4. Continued health and safety for our volunteers and staff as they are on campus and for our schools to be safe for all children and school employees.
