Remembering You

     This verse perfectly describes how I am feeling today.  So thankful the Lord brought so many wonderful people who love Him and are willing to serve Him with us to reach children for Christ throughout the San Joaquin Valley and the Sierra Nevada Mountains.  Paul proceeds in his letter to the Philippians with, “In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel…”  As I reflect on how many people came together to help with the Darryl Rogers Golf Tournament over the past several months, I am overwhelmed with joy!  We had a wonderful event and so many golfers expressed their satisfaction as they finished on the course.  Our staff had worked hard and were so well prepared and everyone served with gladness, as well as our local governing committee members.

     Our Golf Committee, Chaired by Larry Powell and John Behrens, was engaged from the beginning and their work to recruit sponsors and golfers is what led to another successful tournament – four year’s in a row!  I want to give a special shout-out to Larry Powell, our celebrity for the “Beat The Preacher” contest!  So many golfers left saying they had a great day and would be back next year.  We are truly grateful for their generous support. Plan to join us again the second Saturday in October, 2023!

Rich Christiano, film maker, director and owner of Christianmovies.com, has a brand new movie. Rich has been a friend and supporter of our CEF ministry for many years.  We have always loved the opportunity to debut his new movies in our area.  You can always trust that Rich’s movies are suitable for all ages and that the Gospel will be presented.  His films not only encourage believers, but they give you an opportunity to bring others and start important conversations.

Tickets are limited so don’t delay.  Get tickets for your community group, Sunday School class, friends and family.  We want to sell out quickly!  Maybe we will need to book a second theater.

Praise & Prayer

Praise God with us for:

1. The successful Darryl Rogers Golf Tournament and all the new players we had this year to help raise awareness of CEF ministry and the importance of reaching children for Christ. 
2. Over 850 children reached already in Good News Club since September 12 when Clubs began.
3. Two trainings last week adding new volunteers to our child evangelists for all areas!

Please pray with us for:

1. Many new children to be registered as additional schools begin with travel Good News Clubs and for more volunteers who can establish more travel GNC teams.
2. Strong and quick response to the MindReader movie event so that we sell out quickly and have the opportunity to book a second showing.
3. The golfers who joined us will read the materials shared in their golf bags and be moved by the Holy Spirit to learn more about our work, become an ongoing financial partner and / or a volunteer in Good News Club or the local governing committee.
