Diana Tobanchez Ortiz—Summer Field Missionary It is truly an awesome journey to see how the Heavenly Father is so faithful to accomplish His will, especially when His provisions are so contrary to my expectations. The first week of clubs in San Mateo, the team was met with the unfortunate situation of having to change club location midweek due to lack of interest. The uneasiness of going to a new location where CEF has never held a club was quite daunting. Would there be parents willing to send their children? Would the children want to attend? We prayed that we would have the opportunity to proclaim the gospel in San Mateo. Despite my worries, God answered my prayers in a very different way from what I had imagined. We were blessed with children at the new location, and we also had many parents listening in. That was when I realized what God was doing. He was not only reaching out to children through the 5-Day Club, but also to the parents. Children, parents and bystanders all heard the gospel as the CYIA students taught enthusiastically. God was very intentional in sending us to the new area and faithful in answering our prayers! |
| Therefore, I held the following passage dear to my heart as we continued to plant the gospel in every heart that attended 5-Day Club this summer!
“And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.” 1 John 5:14-15 |
