CEF Silicon Valley Newsletter December 2022

Train up a child
Christina Wang—Director

It is our vision and passion to reach every child, every nation, every day. Training ministry is our motor to propel us forward in equipping more children’s workers to join the harvest. We’ve been devoted to our training programs in the past, but in 2022 we expanded our age range to train children 8-10 years old to share the gospel.
I’ve seen children from our “Go and Tell” program sharing the basic gospel with children their age, and even with adults. They are fearless and on target in presenting the good news of  Jesus Christ. This transformation didn’t begin at the training. Their parents and Good News Club teachers trained them up before they were ready to take the gospel out to the world.
I firmly believe that in order for us to impact our world with the gospel, we need to start training up our children in the Word of God. Many adults desire to see the children under their influence walk with Jesus, but don’t know how to teach them “in the way he should go” more effectively. Our theme for 2023 is to “Train Up A Child”, and we invite you to explore our training programs to be equipped in sharing the Word of God with young and impressionable minds so that “when he is old he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6).

Our primary training programs:
  • Teaching Children Effectively level 1 & 2 – Ages 15 and up
  • Teaching Little Kids Seminar —Ages 15 and up
  • Christian Youth In Action —Ages 13 and up
  • Junior Leadership Program —Ages 10 and up
  • Go and Tell Seminar —Ages 8-10

As we approach the end of 2022, I want to wish you a merry Christmas and a blessed New Year! Our Christmas letter included many testimonies of what God has done and how children’s lives were impacted through CEF ministry! We launched the “Go and Tell” workshop this year, and trained 28 children to share the gospel using a Wordless Book bracelet and the bookmark you see here. Many of them went back to their schools and outreaches and shared the gospel with over 200 children. Many came to the Lord!

We are planning another “Go and Tell” workshop next year before Easter, and several of the students who attended this workshop will become team leaders training other children how to share the gospel! We look forward to what the Lord has in store for this next generation. Thank you for your partnership with us for the Kingdom!
