Christmas Party Clubs Begin!

Our staff prayed about where to request Christmas Party Clubs for this month. Instead of requesting local schools, we felt led to throw our net wider! We did and of the 5 school districts, in 5 different cities, we have 5 Christmas Party Clubs confirmed for this week. There are a couple more pending. We have been burdened for the children on the West side in Avenal and Coalinga. While we denied the opportunity for a party, we are seeking other opportunities for ministry.

 

Party Clubs can reach children with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, raise awareness of Afterschool Good News Club and prayerfully recruit new volunteers for that particular school to plant ongoing ministry. Please pray for these outcomes this week so that new ministry may be launched in each area.

 

School-aged children may have no prior knowledge of Jesus, or that Christmas is to celebrate His birth. They need to learn that God created them to be in a relationship with Him, now and for eternity. We were blessed to share Jesus with 47 children at this Christmas Village.

It’s our desire to give a Bible to every child in Good News Club. We can teach them how to use it, look up their memory verses and encourage them to have Quiet Time with God every day.

 

Does it really make a difference?

 

It absolutely does! I believed in Jesus when I was 8 yrs old, thanks to my Grandmother. I’m sure my life would be significantly different without Christ. But the best example of how important our ministry is can be seen in the actions of our opposition.

 

This month a Satan Club will begin at Golden Hills Elementary School in Tehachapi in Kern County. This is not the first one. They have conducted Clubs in Illinois and Pennsylvania – started by the nontheistic religious organization – The Satanic Temple. They only target schools that offer an after-school Good News Club. Read More Here

 

In previous cases, parents have not signed up their children to attend and the Club closes. Please pray with us that parents in Tehachapi will ignore and avoid this afterschool program. Pray that the Satanic Temple organization will close and leave. Pray for protection over all the schools with a Good News Club throughout California. Pray that more Christian’s will recognize how important it is and apply and train to volunteer so Good News Clubs can double across the state!

 

Satan wants to deceive our children, lead them astray and ultimately destroy them by eternal separation from God. As Christians we must reach more children for Christ and recognize we can make a difference by leading children to Christ, now and forever.

  • His Word, His promises and the faith to place our hope in Jesus. Only Jesus saves and He has already told us what to expect in the future in the Bible.
  • The schools that have approved the Christmas Party Clubs, the volunteers who have committed to be part of the team and the supplies God has provided to equip us for each school site as well as the Christmas Outreach events.

Pray with us for:

 

  • Many children to hear and understand their need for Jesus as their Lord and Savior. May they experience a spiritual birthday as they learn about Jesus birth, life, death and resurrection.
  • Protection of the Good News Club ministry throughout the state and the nation. May the schemes of the enemy be thwarted by the power of God from the uplifted prayers of the saints.
