On Friday 5/28, Liam and Alanna Cummins did their 5-K walk at Wolf Creek Trail in Grass Valley, Ca. Who better than children to raise awareness of and represent Good News Club, children’s ministry. Great Job & big Thank You! Liam & Alanna. There is still time, will you join them?

Hart Ransom Eagle Nesters and The Burbank Bulldogs

Modesto teams Hart Ransom Eagle Nesters 4 Kids and Burbank Bulldogs completed their 5-K walk at Almond Orchards on Shoemake Ave, Modesto, Ca. (Pat Roesel, Kathi Mills, Janice Chase, Mary Palmer, Tim Mejia, Arne Conrad, Jomi Strohm, and Debbie Mar. They are are all involved with Good News Club. Thankful to God for them and their support. Oakdale Oakies 4 Kids team did their 5-K walk in the city of Oakdale, Ca. (Mary Palmer, Yvonne Kimble, Patty Hill, Debbie Mar, Marcia S, Jennifer H, and Virginia H.) Thank you ladies for your participation & support to Good News Clubs!

Vance Kelley

Vance is one of the Pastors at Crossroads Church in Turlock (a supporting church of CEF). He did his 5k in his neighborhood in Turlock. Thanks Vance!

Nadya, Vance, and Joel

Nadya’s knee didn’t allow her to walk, so we traded our shoes for kayaks and invited Pastor Vance to join us on our “Kayak 5k”. All in all we paddled 5 miles at Modesto Reservoir. So glad to participate!

$19,800 was given during this year’s 5k Fundraiser! We had almost 50 walkers and 13 separate 5ks.


And while the official dates are over, I know of at least one more group doing their 5k this month! 


Thanks to all of you for your support! So far this year 567 children have heard the Gospel in 18 Good News Clubs, 2 one-time outreaches, and 3 Party Clubs, and 132 of them have received the Lord. And we are gearing up for a fair in May and then 5-Day Clubs and more one-time outreaches this summer so we are praying for and taking aim at more than 1,100 children reached!
