Reaching children for Christ!

We launched a new season of Good News Club ministry in September. It is always so exciting to meet with our volunteers as we prepare to go back to school. There is such joy as we hear stories from various schools about the children and their response to the GOOD NEWS about Jesus.

As you know, we were shut out of Clovis Unified after two weeks of ministry. This is still heartbreaking, especially for those children who just heard and believed in Jesus and then lost their ability to be discipled in the Club. We continue to seek opportunities to return as an afterschool program.

Today, we face another threat. The Fresno Teachers Association has announced the teachers will strike on Wednesday, November 1, if there is no agreement with Fresno Unified by tomorrow.

With this notice, Fresno Unified has determined that all community use of facilities will be cancelled until the strike is over. This would close over 30 Good News Clubs in just one district.

Please pray with us that an agreement will be reached, preventing the cancellation of Good News Clubs so that children can still be reached for Jesus!

Pray also for children so that their learning will not be interrupted. Pray for everyone’s safety at schools because hostility can cause problems and risks to those on campus.

Harvest Celebrations

We will participate in three Harvest events at three churches in three different cities on October 31st. Please pray that each site will have many children attend, and that they will have eyes to see, and ears to hear with a heart drawn by the Holy Spirit to believe in Jesus, who He is and what He did for them on the cross and through His resurrection. We are thankful to the churches who are supporting child evangelism!

Chosen

The scripture above reminds us that God chose us! He has specific plans for each one of us to glorify Him. Is He speaking to you about joining us to reach children for Christ?

This is the time to reach as many children as possible. Our world is darkening, day to day, but Jesus gives us hope and purpose. Please prayerfully consider joining us as a volunteer and /or a donor to further the ministry.

Praise God for:

1. His great love for us! His Word is true and He is faithful to every promise. He will return for those who are His children.
2. Faithful volunteers serving so children can meet Jesus!
3. Those who donate to support the ministry, partnering with us as important members of the CEF family. We are grateful!

Pray to God for:

1. Fresno Unified School District and the Fresno Teachers Association to reconcile their differences so they will not have to strike.
2. More volunteers to apply and train to help us reach children, now more than ever!
3. Financial support to cover all expenses, month to month and year to date.
