March Mercy – 14 Days Left!

Praise be to the Lord, for he has heard my cry for mercy. The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy,  and with my song I praise him. Psalm 28:6-8

March Mercy

We are just past the halfway mark of the March Mercy 31 day campaign. We are seeking the Lord’s favor for our financial needs for the first part of the year. We are grateful for those who have donated toward this effort, knowing that reaching children for Christ is a critical priority for our city, state, nation and world.

The Lord has placed each of us in this community for a purpose. Regardless of your occupation, career or season of life, everyone in your circle of influence needs Jesus. The Lord has burdened us to reach children who do not know Him. My friend, Rich Christiano, Movie Director/Producer/Writer (ChristianMovies.com) says,

“Everyone you meet is either a Missionary or a Mission Field!”

I thought this was profound when he first shared it with me. What a great way to assess your friends and neighbors. If they are a missionary, share why it’s important to reach children for Christ. The culture is changing rapidly, they need Jesus and the Holy Spirit to lead and guide them. If they are a mission field, they don’t know Jesus as their Savior, and they will be separated from Him through eternity. Tell them about Jesus, who He

is and what He did for them. You never know if you will have another opportunity!

Singing Is A Tool!

We returned to Wolters Elementary this year for the first time since 2020. Some children returned and were happy to see us, they have grown and changed so much! In 2020, we taught Psalm 119:9-11 but it seemed too long and hard for children to learn and memorize. But that is not the case! When we returned in 2024, God encouraged our team that children can learn scriptures if we use tools to make learning fun.

Teacher JoAnn was teaching the Bible lesson, focusing on how Joseph responded to temptation and what children can do to overcome temptation. Knowing and keeping God’s word in their heart was one

examples and as she started to read Psalm 119:9-11, one student raised her hand, “I know it” she said! She started quoting it and then another student started singing the verse and several students joined in. We were amazed to see that some children still remembered Psalm 119:9-11 and could quote or sing it. It was a sweet and encouraging moment for all of us.

We were filled with tears of joy and gratitude for God’s faithfulness. This is the fruit of teaching Bible verses every week and using tools, such as songs and games, to help children learn and hide God’s word in their hearts in a fun way. Parent Testimony

My children attended the Good News Club hosted at Thomas Elementary for the first time yesterday. My son had heard about the club and really pushed for him and his little sister to join because he wanted to learn more about God. Needless to say I was not disappointed! The first thing they wanted to talk about after returning home was how amazing the club was and how nice their teacher Aaron was.  (Two of her children are pictured here)

They spoke about how Jesus died for all of our sins and how he sacrificed (and yes they used this word) himself for us. What really blew me away is they knew the story of Paul and how God changed his name from Saul. Wow! How many children can you say that would even know that information? Not only did they know this story, but it opened up such a beautiful conversation about the books that Paul wrote. I was even able to tie it into how it doesn’t matter what we’ve done in our past God can still use us.

I am thankful for this program because it is teaching my kids directly from the scriptures. Not only are they learning in a way that is on their level but the conversations it organically produced within my home was amazing. What you guys are doing is a blessing for children. Please continue this ministry! It takes a village and I’m glad the Lord has blessed you guys to be a part of my children’s lives. I thank you guys for blessing my children with knowledge, prayer, and fellowship.

Please continue to pray each day for the Lord’s mercy on this fundraising effort.

Hear my voice when I call, LORD;

be merciful to me and answer me.
