Make An Eternal Difference

Before the Christmas break, all the children received their own Bible. Since then, we have been praying that they will read their Bibles, do the quiet time sheets, and memorize their verses. From the beginning of the spring semester, most of the kids have been bringing their Bibles to club each week. And during the last week of January, Ana showed me where she was reading in her Bible; she had different places marked and was excited to share what she been learning. Also, her interest, engagement and enthusiasm in our GNC has increased. We are excited that we get to disciple the children in their relationship with God at Good News Club!

Our Good News Club teachers were talking about children that they have seen transformed in character over the years. One of the children shared the following with me. 

“Jesus is my friend. He is everything to me. I’ve been going to Good News Club since 3rd grade. It is so much fun! I enjoy the games, songs, and dances, and learning more about the Bible. I’ve recently learned about Joseph and his brothers. Wow! The teachers are really nice and the kids who come always follow the rules. Everyone should come because Good News Club accepts everybody.” – Jada 

Praise God for our volunteers letting God impact lives for His glory through them!! 

While we are VERY excited for the Good News Clubs in our chapter, we realize daily that there are many more schools that don’t currently have a Good News Club. So there are thousands of kids who may still not have heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ!

Praise God for the organizations that do wonderful things to make a difference in people’s lives, but only followers of Jesus can share the hope of Jesus — and that makes an eternal difference in people’s lives!

Prayer is essential to reaching the children of the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. This ministry cannot be accomplished in our own strength, but only in complete dependence on the Lord.
