Miracle in Newman

Tim Weimer leads two children to Christ during a Newman Party Club.

Party Club evangelism? You bet! First Baptist in Newman teaches a weekly Good News Club(R) at Von Renner Elementary School, but during the Christmas season they decided to go all out and did three special Party Clubs with terrific results! They first did one at the Von Renner Good News Club, but with a separate advertisement for the Party Club(R), and 20 new children came just for that! Then they made the decision to hold one-time Party Clubs in two additional schools in Newman to expand their outreach potential.

In a Facebook post, Pastor Tim Rempel wrote, “God is at work in Newman. Thirty children came to our party at Von Renner!” One week later, after the Party at Barrington Elementary, Tim posted, “The miracle continues! We had our second Christmas party today. 38 children came and heard about the birth of Christ!” The very next day, the third Christmas Party Club was held at Hunt Elementary, right across the street from their church.

Ten children came and two received Christ. I attend the Party Club at Hunt Elementary, and Pastor Tim told me that they had reached 80 children in three days, with four professions of faith made for Christ!

Does your church want to have the same impact in your community? Christmas Party Clubs are over for the season, but Easter is right around the corner (March). Why not pick a school or two (or three) and make a huge impact in your community! Have the club and then invite those kids and their families to your Easter service. You’ll get the opportunity to evangelize and disciple the community, and then prayerfully establish those children in your local church.

It’s not too early to begin planning your outreach Easter club. Get the party started by emailing: centralvalleynorth@cefnocal.org, or call our office. Let’s see the miracle happen in your town through your Church. Christ is risen indeed, and the children need to hear it!

2,000 Children Campaign

A child prays during a valley Good News Club.

It is our goal to reach 2,000 children with the Gospel in 2024.

If 2,000 children represent our 2024 budget, then it will only take $153 per child to meet budget.

As of this writing (1-16-24)

47 children have been funded,

which leaves us with 1,953 left to go.

Will you prayerfully consider

funding one or more children in 2024?

Teaching Children Effectively(R)

Did you know that CEF’s(R) primary method for reaching the next generation for Christ is to train, equip, and support churches to carry out the work of evangelizing and discipling children? Without the local church very few children would be reached for Christ.

We offer a wide array of training opportunities. Our most extensive training is our Children’s Ministries Institute(TM) at our International Headquarters in Warrenton, Missouri. It is twelve weeks long training for those interested in taking a deep dive into reaching children for Christ. On the bottom end we offer regular teacher training classes for Good News Club teachers, free online seminars and classes, and a variety of one-hour stand-alone seminars for churches (free of charge).

In the middle of the two ends is our Teaching Children Effectively Courses, a 30 hour college level course on how to teach children, well, effectively. Level 1 is all about reaching unsaved children for Christ. Level 2 teaches how to disciple children who are already saved.

Just last week Nadya, Christy, and I participated in the first week of a TCE 1 course in San Francisco. Nadya and I taught, and will teach again on week 4. Christy is taking the entire course. She will be in person on weeks 1 and 4, and will be online the other weeks.

Would you like to see a TCE 1 course take place in the Central Valley North Area? That can be arranged if we have the students for it. For more information contact our office.
