“Will we have this club every week?!”

As soon as Salina arrived in the room, she kept asking me, “Will we have this club every week?!” It truly surprised me because we hadn’t even started! At the end of the club, I went back to her and asked if she wanted us to come back. She and the other kids shouted, “Yes!” The doors are open, the children are hungry to hear about God!

We had 8 kids who wanted to talk with us about believing in Jesus. One 10 year old girl was crying with me as she said, “I did something wrong and I don’t think God will forgive me”. Another girl said, “How can I know for sure God is real and that when I die, I can go to heaven?” It was a very sweet time to share encouragement from the scripture with them. We talked through what it means to believe in Jesus, about assurance of salvation, confession, forgiveness, prophecies, and the resurrection. These little kids had some seriously deep things going on in their lives and needed someone to talk to. Both of these little girls were very mature and were broken over their sin and desperately wanted the power of Jesus in their lives! It was a great reminder that kids crave deep conversations and that they are just as in need of a savior as adults.
