Spotlight on Lawton GNC

We praise God for allowing us to have a Good News Club at Lawton Alternative School in San Francisco these past seven school years. We experience the joy of watching the kids as they learn from God’s word, sing and recite memory verses, and groan when the missionary story ends on a cliff-hanger — requiring them to come back next week if they want to hear what happens. We can see they are thinking by some of the questions they ask, and sometimes we have to pray on the spot for wisdom to answer truthfully and correctly from Scripture.

Our club has usually been on the smaller side, but the consistency in attendance has been very good. At the beginning of the school year, it was great to see one of our former students from maybe six years ago come by and say “hi”. She told us the following week she would be dropping off her sister (who is several years younger) to attend club. So, even over time we can see how God is working behind the scenes in bringing kids to hear His good news. Praise God for allowing us to be a part of His work of reaching children for His kingdom.

Christian Youth in Action^TM

Serving Christ is an adventure, and it can be a whole lot of fun! Christian Youth In Action is a week-long program that trains & equips teens and adults to present the Gospel in 5-Day Clubs^®—through Bible Lessons, Missionary Stories & more! Clubs are held for one hour each day, for five days & are taught using CEF materials. 5–Day Clubs are hosted in churches, parks, community centers, and in homes – bringing the Word of God straight to children and their families! Come join us & make a difference for Christ!

Saturday 8:30 am—4:00 pm; Mon, Wed, Thurs 8:25 am—5:30 pm;

Tues, Fri 8:25 am—7:30 pm (dinner included)

$200—includes all materials ($160 if payment received by May 31)

A $10 non-refundable deposit must accompany application.

Balance is due by June 3, 2024.
