Much is Happening in CEF East Bay!

Greetings!

As we embark on the Spring and Easter season, may we ever be reminded how much God loves us and the price He paid so that we can enjoy Him now and be with Him for all eternity.

Because of your partnership, children are hearing the Gospel and coming to know Jesus for themselves. The joy of the LORD is filling their hearts, and they are budding for Him on their school campuses and in their families.

Good News Club Stories

Earlier this month, I had the opportunity to visit Fairview Elementary. As I sat waiting in the classroom for the club to begin, there was a voice heard outside in the hallway singing ‘Good News Club, Good News Club… oh oh Yeah!!!’ Then a boy walked through the door, still singing and excited. More kids came in and even two teachers popped their heads through the door. Later, one of the Club teachers shared the following praise with me:

One of our newest enrollees passed our room as we were singing the Good News song and asked if he could be a part of the club! Also, we have teachers stopping in to ask the kids each week, “What’s the Good News?” Several teachers have expressed their excitement about the opportunity to have a CEF program in the school.

Praise the LORD!

We also received this praise report from Valhalla Elementary:

“One of the kid’s parents shared that her child made a video of all the Word Ups she learned this semester and sent it as a video to her grandma to cheer her up.”

The ‘Word Up’ at a GNC is a single phrase taught at each club, that emphasizes the teaching for the saved or unsaved child. By remembering it and sharing it, they are telling God’s message of love! 

Christian Youth in Action!

Serving Christ is an adventure, and it can be a whole lot of fun! Christian Youth In Action is a week-long program that trains and equips teens and adults to present the Gospel in 5-Day Clubs®—through Bible Lessons, Missionary Stories and more! 

5-Day Clubs are held for 90 minutes each day, for five days, and are taught using CEF materials. They are hosted in churches, parks, community centers, and in homes—bringing the Word of God straight to children and their families! 

Middle School, High School and College Students (13 years and up): Come join us & make a difference for Christ in your community this summer!!

Training Details:

  • Location: Valley Church, Cupertino
  • Dates: June 15, 17 – 21, 2024 (Saturday 8:30 am – 4:00 pm; Mon, Wed, Thurs 8:25 am – 5:30 pm, Tues, Fri 8:25 am – 7:30 pm – dinner included)
  • Cost: $200, which includes all materials ($160 if payment received by May 31)
  • Registration required by June 3. No late registrations will be accepted.

On April 27, our biggest event in Alameda County occurs. It’s our fundraising banquet in Oakland! Our theme is “The Time is Now.” It’s an opportunity to celebrate everything that God has done this past year and look forward to what He has in store for the coming year.
