Meet the King

This Easter we were privileged to partner with Compass Church at their Easter Egg Drop Outreach. How important that children who come to these events hear the true message of Easter! Through the cold and the rain many volunteers faithfully shared the powerful message of the gospel. We were able to give out hundreds of tracts, several Bibles, and CEF’s Meet the King booklet. “Meet the King is a beautiful 16-page Gospel tool that is longer and of higher quality than a tract but easy for children to read and understand. Meet the King is the story of the Lord Jesus Christ—His birth, ministry on Earth, crucifixion, resurrection and ascension. The booklet ends with a clear explanation of how the reader can trust Jesus Christ as his Savior and King.” It was so exciting to bring the Good News of Easter to this Egg Drop Event!

CEF exists to come alongside churches and aid them in their efforts to reach their communities for Christ. It is our joy and hope to continue to serve the local church in this way.

Make Them Known

…to your children and your children’s children. This command in Deuteronomy is why we do what we do- God calls us to pass the knowledge, fear, and love of him onto the next generation. At one of our Good News Clubs we recently had a child register who was so excited because his mom had also attended Good News Clubs. It is always astounding to hear about adults who were saved or discipled through a Good News Club as a child. The faithful witness of Good News Clubs from generation to generation is wonderful to think about. Have you been blessed by a Good News Club? Our goal is to launch two more Clubs in the fall, which means we are looking for 8 more volunteers; will you help us pass the truth of God’s word to the next generation?

Join the Banquet Prayer Committee.

We are looking for a few more volunteers to join our prayer committee for our banquet. Will you join and pray with us for God’s guidance and provision?

Hearts for the Harvest

We are so excited to announce the theme of our annual banquet: Hearts for the Harvest! As we prayed over this theme we thought about all of the parents, churches, and teachers who have asked us to bring a club to their school, neighborhood, or church. We see the potential and plentiful harvest right here on the Central Coast. And yet we are limited in our ability to expand into these areas as we rely on the volunteers who feel called to serve. We are praying that God will move in local believers to have Hearts for the Harvest and that they will join with us to reach the next generation for Jesus. Save June 8th for this important banquet! After Easter

Easter Sunday is such a joyous day! The pinnacle of our faith- where we celebrate God’s victory over sin and death. The songs, lilies, decorations, and traditions all fill our hearts with extra delight as we emphasize this important day. And now here we are in the after. How does the powerful message of Easter affect our day to day lives? We believe and serve a risen Savior. We know that He is with us. We are called to walk in the newness of life (Romans 6:4). May you experience the newness of life in Christ today- a life transformed and compelled by the love of God! This After Easter season can be a beautiful opportunity to grow in your relationship with Christ.
