Reaching Kids Year-Round

Last Good News Club for the 23/24 School Year

Glory to God for our club at Neil Armstrong! It was a challenging beginning, but God said ‘Yes’ and we received approval to have the club. The children came, our club was held, and we had a great time. There was a parent who stayed for the entire club, and boldly said to me at the end, ‘This is a good start!’ Hallelujah! Please pray with us that we would be able to continue in the 24/25 school year and reach even more children with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Our Final Salute to the 23/24 School Year

Volunteer Appreciation

Praise the LORD for the 54 volunteers that have supported this ministry for the 23/24 school year. We met on June 8 to celebrate all that the LORD has done and had a great time of fellowship and sharing. While there were many challenges, at the end of it all, we see and acknowledge how God has kept us through it all and impacted so many lives.

-Volunteer Testimony-

Only one student would complete his quiet time sheet. I would review answers, ask questions about what was learned and finally ask if he was blessed by completing it and he would say ‘yes.’ Week after week, I would encourage the others. Soon after, a few more started turning theirs in. By the next-to-last week of the club, only two students hadn’t completed theirs. I kept encouraging them. And finally, all of the kids completed their quiet time sheets. And when I asked each student if he or she was blessed by completing their sheet, they all said yes!

Christian Youth in Action (CYIA) Begins.

All glory to God for His answer to our prayer! Not only did 7 students sign up to participate in CYIA this school year, but also 6 of you responded and sponsored a student! Training began 6/15 and continues until 6/21.

-Parent Testimony-

I really wanted my daughter to participate in the program this year. When I heard of the scholarships, I let her know, and she immediately signed up! I am so excited and glad because I know she will really learn and benefit from the program. She just got back from her church camp. And now she is at CYIA. This is going to be her ‘Jesus Summer’!

-Student Testimony-

This was my first experience with CYIA! And I absolutely loved the first day. We learned mostly about the Wordless Book. I have my Bible prepped with the order, and I’m ready to use it with children and adults! It’s so straight-forward, and anyone can easily understand God’s message. I hope to start with a Good News Club in the fall and also use this skill with the children.

Would You Like to Host a 5-Day Club This Summer?

It’s a great opportunity to reach the children in your neighborhood with the Gospel. CYIA students will teach the lessons if you are willing to host the club for one week (between June 24 to July 26, 2024).

Please contact us at (510) 214-0459 if you are interested or want more information.

Fair/Outreach Ministry is a great opportunity to share the Gospel with children who attend these fun, outdoor events. This summer, CEF East Bay will host a booth at the following locations, sharing the Wordless Book.
