The freedom of our faith!

Every Child. Every Nation. Every Day.

Then the people rejoiced because they had given willingly, for with a whole heart they had offered freely to the Lord.

1 Chronicles 29: 9

There is so much to be grateful for as we reflect on the month of June! We want to give God all the glory for His mighty work. Our Hearts for His Harvest banquet was a wonderful experience. Many people came and heard about our ministry for the very first time! It was a delight to get to know so many new faces and to greet old friends as well. We praise the Lord for the community of believers that surrounds and supports our work on the Central Coast. We sent out a report directly after the banquet and wanted to send a final update as well. Thanks to the many of you who gave so generously the final banquet total was over $100,000! This is an incredible praise, and we give glory to our Lord. We also have a special thanks to our matching donor for their inspiring gift.

Due to everyone’s generosity, we were immediately able to hire a summer intern, Lily! You can read her bio below. We are thrilled to have her on board for the summer, excited to train and equip her in the skills of evangelism, and looking forward to all God will do through her in our community. We are also beginning the active search for a ministry coordinator. You will find more about that position below as well. We desire to be faithful stewards of your gifts and diligently strive for the advancement of the gospels to the unreached children all around us.

4th of July Outreach

This last week, we joined with Compass Church for their Celebrate America extravaganza and brought the good news of freedom through God’s salvation to the kids in attendance. We had a wonderful group of teens from Silicon Valley come and help at this outreach, as well as several local volunteers and teens. We were able to present the gospel message 183 times and 40 children responded to the message and gave their lives to Jesus! We gave away 55 New Testaments and over 300 tracts. It was such a delight to watch the next generation bring the truth of God’s word to the children. Praise the Lord for His work in and through these teens!

Job Opening!

We are so excited to be opening up the position of ministry coordinator! Having the right person in this role will enable us to push into new territory, make new connections and reach even more children with the good news. Our ideal candidate loves the Lord and children, is energetic, motivated, and self-driven, comfortable presenting about the ministry, and teaching others when needed. We would also love someone who is bilingual, as connecting with Spanish speaking believers is a goal of our local chapter. This is a part time position, and the hours are flexible- including the ability to work from home when needed. We are praying for just the right candidate to come and serve with us! Please be in prayer for the right person to fill this role and spread the word to your circles.

Meet Lily!

Lily Powers was born in Salinas but spent the first half of her life on the mission field in Eastern Europe, raised by mission-minded parents. Her family returned to America after 8 years overseas and she continued to grow in her faith and relationship with God. At the end of high school, God put evangelism on her heart, she began doing local outreaches with her dad and went on a short-term mission trip to Thailand. After graduating and turning 18, God opened doors for Lily to return to Thailand for a 3 month internship, where God continued to grow her in evangelism and discipleship. She just got back at the beginning of this summer, and is excited to serve CEF and continue to also make her hometown her mission field.

Nothing will stop God from reaching His children with the Gospel!

Join us in praising Him for what he has done and praying for the ministry to continue to grow.
