Reaching children for Christ!

We launched a new season of Good News Club ministry in September. It is always so exciting to meet with our volunteers as we prepare to go back to school. There is such joy as we hear stories from various schools about the children and their response to the GOOD NEWS about Jesus.

Story from Field Missionary, Aaron Keller

In our second week of Good News Club, we welcomed a fourth-grade boy who struggled to fit in and was quite disruptive making it hard for others to enjoy themselves. Despite warnings and having him sit next to a teacher, things didn’t improve and I considered reaching out to his mom.

As a team, we prayed for him and asked others to join us. The following week he arrived looking angry, and I braced for a tough hour. However, one of the teachers invited him to help with a visual aid and sit next to her. He became attentive throughout the lesson—Praise the Lord!

At the end of club, we walked him and his brother to meet their mom and had a chance to learn more about their lives. She told us they had made changes to his routine and it was helping to stabilize his mood. His mom expressed gratitude for the club and their need to get back in a church.

Learning How to Use the Bible

In the Good News Club children receive a Bible. This is important as we desire children to not only own a Bible, but understand how to use it. Pictured above, Mrs. Myers is helping a student to find the previous week’s Bible verse. We want the children to know how to find verses in the Bible and memorize scripture. The more they open the Bible, see pictures and read stories, the more they gain an interest to read it. It is such a joy to give children the Word of God and teach them to use it!

Harvest Celebrations

We will participate in several Harvest events in the next two weeks. Please pray that each site will have many children attend and that they will have eyes to see, and ears to hear with a heart drawn by the Holy Spirit to believe in Jesus.

This is the time to reach as many children as possible. Our world is darkening, day to day, but Jesus gives us hope and purpose.

Praise God for:

1. Tammy’s years of faithful service and leadership.
2. His great love for us! His Word is true and He is faithful to every promise. He will return for those who are His children.
3. Faithful volunteers serving so children can meet Jesus!
4. Those who donate to support the ministry, partnering with us as important members of the CEF family. We are grateful!

Pray to God for:

1. Me as I take on my new role as Director that the Lord will lead and guide me and the staff.
2. Volunteers and the children to stay healthy as the seasons change form hot to cooler weather.
3. More volunteers to apply and train to help us more reach children, now more than ever!
4. Financial support to cover all expenses, month to month and year to date.
