Good News Club Testimony: ‘Matty believed in Jesus Christ in September 2024. During counseling, she commented to one of our team leaders that, even though she attends church, she had not learned about Jesus in the way that we teach at the Good News Club. I spoke with Matty’s mom after Club that day, letting her know that now both of her girls had asked Jesus to be their Lord over the last couple of weeks. I commented that I wasn’t sure if they had done that before, but I wanted to make sure she knew. Matty’s mom said that yes, they both had done it before when they were babies, and that they had also been baptized as babies. When I shared the conversation with my team, and what Matty said during counseling, it encouraged us that the work we do at the Good News Club is so important. Even though a child (or a family) attends a Christian church doesn’t mean that he or she has heard the Gospel or made a commitment to follow Jesus.’ |
