A Note from Chelsea

What I Remember About School

Growing up in elementary school I remember a few things. I remember kids cussing on the playground. I remember finding a joint on the ground. I remember a friend telling me she was still deciding if she was going to be a lesbian. I remember my teacher teaching evolution. I remember my friends talking about their drunk parents driving them through town.

But I also remember that, even as a young child, I had a heart for sharing with my friends about Jesus. In 4th grade, I was able to pray with my friend, Dani, to believe in Jesus at a sleepover. The kids at school, who know Jesus, are struggling to stay on the straight and narrow in school. They need more Christians at their schools! The kids who don’t know Jesus are engulfed in darkness. But our God is greater!

We have an amazing opportunity to take the light of Jesus into our local public schools. Do you pass a school on the way to work? Do you take your kids to a local school every day? Do you have a school in your neighborhood? Right now in America, we have the open door to share the gospel in every public school! But we need YOU! The training, the materials, the insurance, and the Bibles are all ready to go. What we don’t have is the PEOPLE.

We are praying for the Lord of the harvest to send the PEOPLE into our local schools. Would you please consider taking one afternoon a week to share Jesus on a local public school campus? A couple hours can change eternity! You can commit to 6 weeks or the full year. Please let us know if you are interested and pray with us!
