“How beautiful are the feet of those who bring Good News…” Romans 10:15b So, why are we doing aSpring Fundraiser anyway? |
|
Because of boys like George. This picture was taken in 2017, in an after-school Good News Club in Stanislaus County, when he was just nine years old. Did you know that, statistically, what a child believes by the age of 13, he dies believing? George is now 15 and in high school. This means that his worldview was set 2 years ago. But George’s worldview was shaped, in part, because he heard a clear presentation of the Gospel multiple times in his Good News Club . I know this because I know the lady who shared with him. Sister Jann represents our almost 100 volunteers faithfully walking into public schools with the Gospel. I don’t know what George did with Christ, but I know that the Gospel he heard has the power to shape the worldviews of those who believe. 360 children have heard the Gospel in 17 Good News Clubs in our area so far this year, and 68 have professed faith in Jesus Christ! More clubs are needed to reach more children, and more staff are needed to train more teachers and to start those clubs. And it takes money to start clubs ($1,000/year/club) and add staff. So we are walking for money, yes, but money that will end in hundreds of children like George hearing a clear worldview-shaping presentation of the Gospel. That’s why. Will you join us? |

The “Beautiful Feet” 5k is only 10 weeks away! In 2022 we had 43 walkers and $16,000 total was raised. We’d love to have 100 people walking in 2023 and raise $32,000. Will you join with us and do a 5k of your own? Walk by yourself, or grab your friends and family, and take a walk for the unreached children in your town. Registration is $50 per person. |

Anywhere you want! In 2022 5ks took place on city trails, National Parks, college campuses, and even on treadmills. They also took place in three states (CA, NM, and HI) and in multiple localities in California. Some people walked alone, and others with teams. |

April 24-30, 2023. Pick one day, the week of April 24, for you/your team to take your walk/run. We encourage you to take selfies and videos of your 5k and text or email them to me and I will post them, so that others can follow you, cheer you on, and join in with you to raise money for CEF! “Ok, I want to be involved! What do I do now?” |
|
Sign up to walk/run 5k and get pumped about reaching the world’s most fruitful mission field! Register as an individual, or form a team. Registration is $50/person. |
| |
Each registered runner will receive a CEF t-shirt prior to April 24. Many questions were asked of those who had the shirts on. Sign up by March 15, so that we can ensure you get the correct t-shirt size. |
| |
Do your walk/run, as your schedule allows, sometime between April 24-30. Hit the trail, pound the sidewalk, round the track, or rock the treadmill! Just be sure to send me pictures of your walk so that I can post them. |
