May God Bless America

“Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.” – Romans 8:1-2 (NIV)

July 1, 2024

America was founded on Biblical principals and in spite of cultural changes, continues to be the most desirable place to live for most people. It is often referred to as the “Home of the Free, Land of the Brace.” That freedom was fought for and won at a high price. Many people take this freedom for granted, not realizing how difficult it was to secure. Others don’t recognize that it is also a fragile freedom, that could be lost if not preserved by The Constitution and the balance of powers in government.

But there is an even more important freedom, that is not fragile. A freedom that cost more than any of us can imagine but was fully planned for everyone, regardless of your country of origin. An eternal freedom that is not at risk or vulnerable to cultural change. The Freedom that comes from a personal relationship with Jesus Christ! None of us earned it, nor do we deserve it. It is a free gift to everyone who believes in Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God.

As we are reminded in Romans, Christ Jesus gives us life and has set us free from the law of sin and death! This is the only hope for each of us and it is assured by the Word of God, demonstrated by Jesus sacrificial death on the cross and His resurrection from the dead. We are privileged to share this message, not just on the Fourth of July, but throughout the year with children at school and at seasonal outreach events.

Every child deserves the right to learn about Jesus, who He is and what He did for them. In the month of June, 235 children heard the Gospel of Jesus Christ and 33 professed faith in Him as their Lord and Savior. Please pray with us that many more children will be reached in the remaining weeks of summer.

Arianna Knee, Field Missionary, led the team last Wednesday at this event. We use various object lessons to share the Gospel. On this night, the theme was Digging for Buried Treasure. That calls for Pirates and these three are adorable. They are seasoned volunteers and the children enjoyed learning about Jesus.

Ariana Pallota, Summer Missionary, served with us last summer and we welcomed her again this year. She also volunteered in community outreach events during the fall and spring. We are grateful she is serving the Lord with us in CEF!

Gary Lee started volunteering two years ago in an Afterschool Good News Club. Then, he brought his daughters to participate with him. He is also a faithful volunteer for year round ministry and will be leading a team in the fall for a Good News Club. Thank you Gary!!

Support Summer Missions!

Praise God with us for:

  1. Each student who trained last week to reach children for Christ. May this summer experience be the first step in a life time of sharing the Gospel.
  2. The joy of seeing children from the previous year and her love for Jesus is growing day by day.
  3. The privilege to take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to every beautiful child we meet!

Pray with us for:

  1. The events scheduled this week and that there will be many children at each site.
  2. Financial support for summer missions and stable donations through the summer months.
  3. A strong opening week for the Good News Club Darryl Rogers Golf Tournament.
  4. Good News Ambassador’s to help promote and recruit sponsors for the golf event.
