Our Staff

Andrea Meyer

Local Director

I’m Andrea Meyer, and I sensed the Lord’s calling to be a missionary at the tender age of 6. That calling has never left! I was first introduced to CEF as a teen serving through Christian Youth In Action. When I was 17, I became a Good News Club volunteer, and a few years later I was invited to be on missionary staff. During my early years of being on staff, I also received my BA in Liberal Studies, met my husband Roland, and we had our first two children.  In 2020, my family knew that the Lord was leading us to move to Redding, CA where I am blessed to serve as the Director for the Northern Counties chapter. We have also since brought our third child into the world. We love serving as a family with CEF! It’s amazing to see God at work in the lives of children!

FUN FACTS:

  • I love going for long walks and bike rides.
  • We live in the foothills outside of Redding, and doing burn piles in the wintertime is so much fun!
  • I love a week that starts with a Sunday afternoon nap

Melinda Glen

Field Missionary

I’m Melinda Glen and for the last 42 years I worked as a kindergarten teacher and administrator in Christian schools. In this new season of field missionary for CEF, I’m happy to be Nana Melinda as I come alongside Good News Club volunteers in Tehama and Glenn Counties. Seeing children come to know Jesus as Savior is my passion. This is the greatest opportunity ever! I have a BA in early education and in addition was a pastor’s wife, children’s pastor, and school bus driver.

FUN FACTS:

  • I am an adopted child, and my three grown children are adopted. We are a multi-racial family.
  • I am the proud Nana to 5 beautiful grandchildren who all live in Pennsylvania
  • I would walk 5 miles in 100-degree weather for a great street taco! (but since we have the best taco trucks here every 100 yards, gratefully I won’t have to ever do that!)

Ashlinn Boyd

Field Missionary
I’m Ashlinn Boyd and I am so grateful for the opportunity to share the gospel with children through CEF as the Shasta County Field Missionary. God called me to child evangelism about three years ago. Since then, God has faithfully provided opportunity after opportunity, and through every challenge and season of uncertainty, I have chosen to do the only thing I know—simply say “yes.” Over the past three years as an assistant manager at a sporting facility, God has been faithfully shaping me through both my administrative work and my involvement in children’s ministry, preparing me for this opportunity with CEF.
Fun Facts:
  • I love the outdoors; my ideal outing would be relaxing at the lake, fishing, and soaking up the sun.
  • I am the oldest of 5 children.
  • I served with Children’s Rescue Mission Nepal

Shaylin Cummins

Field Missionary
I’m Shaylin Cummins and I have been involved in CEF for almost my entire life. At the age of 9 I attended Christian Youth in Action (CYIA) camp, where my passion was sparked to share the gospel. Alongside my loving family I have the privilege to continue sharing Jesus’ love with others every year. In the past the Lord called me to be a missionary to Mexico and Zambia where I had the opportunity to humbly serve him. Even today I am still following the Lord’s calling which has brought me to be hired for CEF, bringing my connection with the ministry to full circle. I live to praise God and bring more children into his kingdom!
Fun Facts:
  • I am also a traveling children’s piano teacher.
  • Writing is something I love and one day I hope to publish a few novels!
  • There’s nothing that can cheer me up more than taking a walk in the rain (except for Jesus!)
