Planting Seeds of Hope

This last fall, 23 Good News Clubs launched across the Northern Counties chapter. Many take place in schools, some in churches, and others in community centers. Each week hundreds of kids are being reached with the Gospel!

One Good News Club teacher from the Redding STEM Academy wrote:

At our Good News Club, I had a chance to pray with a couple of young ladies for salvation. As I was counseling them, I was very pleased at their confidence that they believed that Jesus was God’s son, and He died on the cross for sins and rose again. When I said that our sins are forgiven and we are not guilty because Jesus was punished in our place, I saw one of the brightest smiles I have ever seen! What a pleasure that experience was for me!

What a privilege it is to bring the good news of Jesus Christ to the next generation!

In December, our Good News Club volunteers in Red Bluff felt a burden for a school that didn’t have a Good News Club in it. They came together to make a special Christmas Party Club happen there! During that afternoon of fun, kids came for Christmas music, games, and heard about the birth, life, death and resurrection of our Savior.

It was great to receive such a positive update from one of the leaders:

“41 attended today at Jackson Heights…We think 30 responded for salvation! Almost the whole group headed towards the response table.

Thank you all for praying.

And there were so many parents there to hear the good news too…”

While we are excited for the 23 Good News Clubs in our chapter, there are many more schools that don’t currently have a Good News Club in them. I can’t help but to feel heavy-hearted for those schools, even while I rejoice for the clubs that are taking place. There are thousands of kids that still need to be reached with the Gospel!

There are so many great organizations that do wonderful things to make a difference in people’s lives, but only followers of Jesus can share the hope of Jesus – and that makes an eternal difference in people’s lives!
