Keira grew up in a home that didn’t believe in Jesus. The trajectory of her life was set to not know Him…until a Good News Club® came to her neighborhood. There she heard the Gospel and chose to place her trust in Jesus. Now, as a young adult, Keira fiercely loves the Lord, has been a summer missionary with Child Evangelism Fellowship®, and serves as a leader in multiple youth groups to make sure others know Him as well!

The heart of CEF ® is that every child in every nation would be growing close to Jesus every day. The heart of our Northern Counties chapter is the same. In fact, as we look to the future we have a goal to reach 3,000 kids with the Gospel every year by 2028. That’s 3,000 kids who, like Keira, will have the opportunity to hear the Gospel and make a decision for Jesus!

Christmas Party Clubs are Here!

Christmastime is a very special time as we reflect on how our God came to earth and dwelt among us, that He might bring us salvation. As we enter into this time of Advent, what better way to celebrate than by sharing the good news of our Immanuel with kids who might otherwise never hear!

We have multiple Christmas Party Clubs lined up in locations that don’t currently have a Good News Club. Will you join us in praying for these Christmas clubs, that many kids would come and hear the true story of Jesus?

(Yes…one of these locations is in Chico Unified. We’ll be providing a pizza dinner with our Christmas Club, which will start at 5 pm. Please be in prayer that we can get word out to families and that kids in the afterschool program will be able to come!)

Welcome our Newest Committee Member!

We’re excited to welcome Brittany Bailey as our newest committee member. Here’s a little bit about her:

Brittany Bailey grew up in Southern California and moved to Redding in 2005 to attend Simpson University for a degree in Business Administration and Human Resources Management. She met Dustin there and they were married in 2009. They now have Chloe (born in 2017) and Declan (born in 2020) keeping them busy. 

Brittany spent 12 years working in local school districts doing HR and Payroll and saw firsthand how many students were struggling and in need of love and hope. She is excited to see the gospel brought to them through Good News Clubs!

Near the end of 2023, Brittany began serving as Finance Director at her home church – VCFamily and is so blessed to be a part of the team there. She is continuing to be challenged and develop her math nerd and spreadsheet skills there.

The role of a CEF Field Missionary is an exciting, boots-on-the-ground ministry position. Whether it’s establishing ministry partnerships with local churches, supporting and encouraging Good News Club volunteers, launching brand-new Good News Clubs, or leading dynamic outreaches, you get a front row seat to seeing the Lord work in awesome ways in bringing kids to a salvation decision.
