There was a Good News Club® at a school in Red Bluff. The school itself was small, and the Good News Club had to share the cafeteria with the afterschool program. This made for a very noisy club hour. While other kids were running around, playing, and shouting, the Good News Club kids were trying to focus on the Gospel message being shared. At times the team felt discouraged. The club was so loud that it was hard to know if seeds were being planted. They stuck with it however, trusting that this is where God wanted them. During their second year at the school, a custodian stopped them. He shared with them that each week over the past two years he had overheard what they were teaching each week in Good News Club while cleaning the cafeteria. God used this to soften his heart, and he ended up surrendering his life to Jesus. |
