A Wonderful Year of Ministry

Reaching children for Christ!

The CEF ministry year is September through August. We are rejoicing for all the Lord has done through this last year.

We returned to school campuses in over 23 districts on 87 elementary schools. That’s pretty good considering it was the first time since the pandemic that all districts reopened for all grades for onsite learning.

We reached 5,493 children through community outreach, summer missions and school GNC’s! We are grateful for every child the Lord brought to us this year.

It’s our prayer to offer an afterschool Good News Club (GNC) in 100 schools over the next school year. We know we have approval for at least three new schools and one new district so far. Please pray with us for open doors to new locations.

Wordless Books Galore!

We were gifted with over a 1,000 handmade, felt Wordless Books created by precious volunteers from Sparrow Ministries and Saint Michael Archangel Anglican Church. We will be teaching the Wordless Book Visualized for the first series this fall. What a blessing to gift each child with their own wordless book and a permanent reminder of God’s story of redemption. This was a precious gift!

Celebrating Our Own

We also celebrated Lynnese Castles’ birthday last week. Lynnese has served on staff for over18 years. As Ministry Coordinator, she has expanded the scope of our ministry in Fresno, Madera, Tulare and Kings Counties. Our CEF family loves celebrating each staff member on their special day. We all loved the surprise visit from her daughter-in-law and two grandchildren!



We need your help for this year’s golf tournament.

Please invite your family and friends to register for this year’s golf event. It’s important to sell out and fund the ministry for the second half of the year. It’s even more important to recruit family and business sponsors. In fact, we have more family sponsors than business sponsors. Praise God for:

1. Every child we had the privilege to reach this year! May they grow and mature in their relationship with Jesus and trust Him fully in every area of their life.
2. Faithful volunteers returning to school this fall so that many more children can meet Jesus!
3. The Clovis Unified School District board and administrative staff for working with us to return to school.

Pray to God for:

1. New business sponsors for the Darryl Rogers Golf Tournament, at the $5000, $2500, and $1000 level and for a sellout of golfers (144).
2. Many volunteers to donate a gift card or make a donation for a card for this year’s golf tournament.
3. More volunteers as well as school teachers to apply and train to conduct a GNC at their school so many more teams can be established in more schools.
