Pam Harley, a leader at Cottage Hill Good News Club has a nephew who crocheted 26 little critters to present to the children as gifts in December! She shared with us that she “had all the children sit on the floor and passed out bags with tissue paper inside so they couldn’t see what the critters were. I told them not to look in the bags and that we would all do it together, but first we sang happy birthday to Jesus. After opening them, some of the children negotiated a trade. Some loved their critters that they got in their bag and held them carefully to themselves. It was just a perfect exchange of love.” Her Nephew, first creating them and then the children receiving them. Pam went on to say “I offer toys at the end of each club and they’re generally very aggressive about trying to get the toy they want. What was so special is that there was divine peace over the children as they shared and exchanged with one another.” This local story makes me think of how God uses people in my life to share His love through them and by that love, I am changed.Â

We are so grateful for our volunteers, donors and prayer partners who gave their support in 2023!
As we begin a new year we are excited to see what the Lord has in store for CEF in the greater Sacramento area. We are kicking off the new year with back to school rallies which support our GNC volunteers as well as a training for anyone who is or is wanting to become a GNC volunteer in a local school. It’s for those working in the local church and other mission organizations who can benefit from the training which will enable them to minister to children in their sphere of influence. Here you learn how to share the gospel with children. Sign up today!
