Why are we having a 5k Fundraiser? Consider the following from one of our Good News Club volunteers, received just this week: Wanted to share something with you that happened a couple of weeks ago. It was related to us by the teacher (a believer) whose room we use. Lexy, a fourth grader who has been a very sporadic attender, thought we needed more kids at club, so she decided to go around at school putting up signs advertising us! She and a friend started doing this but other kids would take them down as soon as they were put up. But while this was going on, our faithful new believer Tommy (also 4th grade), was saying loudly “Jesus is Alive! He is my Savior!” The teacher said she had tears in her eyes watching this go on! Love to you and Nadya! That’s why. But what is preventing us from reaching even more Lexi’s and Tommy’s for Christ? The what is the reason for the fundraiser. If the “why” is children, the “what” is money. Perhaps you believe in the “why” of our ministry (children) and you have the “what” that will let us expand (money), but you have been waiting for the right time to invest in the ministry. Now, during our Spring Fundraiser, would be as good a time as ever to give your gift of support. We would love for you to join us, even if you have no interest in walking. |
