Empower With Prayer!

“The week prior to this club, one of our girls, Corina, was very melancholy. We inquired what was troubling her, and she wouldn’t say. We asked if we could pray for her and she nodded yes. The following week, she entered the club and was her usual happy self. But another girl, Ali, was very quiet and melancholy. They were in my small group together at the Good News Club. I asked if she wanted to talk about how she was feeling, and she remained quiet. Corina put her arm around Ali and said, “I know how you are feeling! I felt that way myself last week. And after they prayed for me, I felt so much better!” 
   I asked Ali if she’d like me to pray for her, and Corina said, “I’ll do it!” And she proceeded to say the sweetest prayer for her friend. It was so moving, that I teared up! 

   Another week, we talked about the Lord helping us in our weaknesses. We asked if anyone would like prayer, and one of the girls who had shared in our small group that she was being mean to her sister, raised her hand and came up front for prayer. She confessed to the class spontaneously, and prayed herself for the Lord to help her! So sweet!
 It is such a joy to watch the kids grow in their faith!”
