Let the little children come to me…

March Mercy

Welcome to March Mercy! The Lord led us to devote this month to pray for His mercy to rain down on us in the form of financial support through His beloved followers.

We are witnessing His miraculous response to prayers for rain and snow in our mountains and valley! As we launch this year’s event, we want to show you specific areas of the ministry each week so you can see what we do and why your support is so important! Every dollar raised goes directly to the ministry because we are not paying for catering, dining rooms, pretty – but expensive centerpieces, etc. It is a sincere appeal to ask you to invest in the mission to reach children for Christ.

This week, we will take you to the After School Good News Club! Aaron Keller, Creative Arts Coordinator, Field Missionary and Teacher Trainer, has produced a video to take you inside the school, see the children and hear their sweet voices.

Children are precious to God and worthy of our time, talent and treasure!

Let the little children come to me and do not hinder them…

Matthew 19:14

Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) was incorporated 86 years ago and started in the central valley of California. Today, there is ministry in virtually every country of the world, but not in every school of our state!

It is our desire to reach children for Christ throughout Fresno, Madera, Tulare and Kings Counties.

Good News to all the world, Good News to all who hear.

Good News to everyone, let’s make the message loud and clear!

I asked Aaron to use this song for the video because it prompted a change of heart and attitude in a parent. One afternoon, a mom called and left a message that she was very upset and wanted me to call her. The parents were divorced and dad had registered their son, but she wasn’t supportive of their kindergartener attending the Good News Club. I quickly checked with the team to see if there had been an incident at club that I should know about before I called but there was not a problem.

When I called she immediately apologized. She said after she left the message she went down the hall to check on her son who was in the bathtub. She heard him singing,

“Good News to all the world, Good News to all who hear. . .

Mommy, listen to the song I learned in Good News Club today!”

She said she was sorry for the message and that everything was fine. Praise God that He allows us to teach the children and He uses them to remind parents who He is and it can lead to change in their lives too!

The doorway to heaven is 3 feet tall,

and it takes the faith of a child to enter in.

Let my teaching fall like rain and my words descend like dew,

like showers on new grass, like abundant rain on tender plants.

‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭32‬:‭2‬

We chose Matthew 19:14 as our theme verse because there are so many forces waging against children and attempts to prevent them from believing in the One True God.

  • Please pray for Holy Spirit guidance as we wrestle with school districts.
  • Clovis Unified changed their facility use policy eliminating all programs from meeting afterschool and prohibited until after 6 pm. This was due to a request for a Satan Club / Drag Queen story hour at a Clovis elementary school. At this time, we are not allowed to request any sites unless it is after 6 pm. We are working in good faith with the CUSD Board and administration to resolve this conflict.
  • Pray for Clovis Unified to adopt a resolution to restore Good News Club as an afterschool program.
  • Pray for other school districts who defer and delay requests for space.

We know these are tactics of the enemy and we are determined to stand firm, with appropriate boldness on these issues.
