Love One Another

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another. John 13:34-35

Love One Another

It is such a privilege to work with our ministry and office volunteers. Many of them are retired after many years of work, several more are widowed, some are young parents with children in elementary school. How to they find the time and desire to volunteer with us in Good News Club? The volunteers pictured above made felt Wordless Books this year so that every child could have one of their own! What a great labor of love!!

I believe it is because the Lord creates us with a purpose in mind before we are born and uses all of our life experiences (positive and negative) to develop us into the role He designed for us. We were privileged to have 202 volunteers serve with us this year. They are compelled to love one another AND they know every child deserves the opportunity to learn about God’s love and plan for them. It’s not always easy, sometimes it can be inconvenient, but it is so rewarding.

For me personally, it is a great joy to lead a child to Christ. If you understand God’s great love for you and feel compelled to love His children by sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with them, call us! Every volunteer must apply and pass a background and Live-scan fingerprinting with the DOJ and then be trained. But once you are trained, we have events year round and schools that need more volunteers for the upcoming school year that you can help. Plus, once you are trained it is a life skill you can apply to anyone, regardless of how young or old they may be!

Praise God!

The March Mercy campaign has delivered $98,400 as of 4/25. We are still receiving donations and we welcome yours! If you intended to give, now is the time. Every day is a good day to support the work of reaching children for Christ. We are so grateful for each gift!

Praise God with us for:

  1. Approval for a Good News Club at Lincoln Elementary School in Lyndsay Unified School District! This is our first event in this district and we pray it is the start of many in the future.
  2. The 202 volunteers who all contributed to reach children for Jesus this year, and continue to be so faithful.
  3. Providing 98.4% of our March Mercy Goal. He is good all the time.

Pray with us for:

  1. The Good News Clubs starting this week at Hidalgo, Lincoln (Lyndsay), Malloch Slater, Olmos, Vinland and Yokomi. May many children meet Jesus as their Lord and Savior.
  2. Safe campuses and healthy volunteers as the weather warms and no obstacles that might prevent children from attending Club.
  3. Those who are now familiar with our ministry from the March Mercy campaign would prayerfully consider a monthly gift of support for ongoing ministry operations.
