GSA Summer Ministry

A commitment of only a few hours can change a child’s life for eternity! We have the blessing of being able to reach thousands of children this summer, but we need YOU to make that possible. Please consider taking a 2-4 hour shift to be able to share the simple gospel with children at a fair near you this summer. We are praying for 150 volunteers!

What happens at a fair shift?
Children come to the fair for corn dogs, rides and to pet ponies, but we go to the fair to share the life-changing gospel message with them. Our fair booth will be prepared with beads, string, Bibles and tracts. When a child walks by, we ask their family if they want to make a free bracelet craft. Then we share the story of Jesus using 5 colored beads, one at a time. It’s a one-on-one time, where you get to share the simple gospel in a way that a child can understand and ask them if they want to believe in Jesus with you right there in the midst of bustle of the fair.

Who can volunteer?
Christians ages 12 and up who agree with our statement of faith and clear our background check process. If you are new to volunteering, we’ll be contacting you to help you through that simple process.

What’s the cost?
There is no cost to volunteer except parking fees (if applicable)! And if you sign up for a “county fair” we’ll even mail you a free entrance ticket so you can enjoy the rest of the fair festivities before or after your shift (check the the individual fair’s website for fair festivities and hours). CEF® is supported by the generous gifts of individuals and churches. This summer, our estimated fair cost is $13,800.
