Become A Committee Member
Becoming a CEF Silicon Valley committee member is a great privilege, and an opportunity to become involved in God’s process of fulfilling the Great Commission to the boys and girls in San Francisco, San Mateo and Santa Clara Counties.
Our Local Committee provides vision, oversight and community connections that allow us to grow each year. The committee meets monthly for 2.5 hours, and members spend approximately 5 – 10 hours each month helping the ministry. They should love Jesus, the Gospel, evangelism, and be passionate about children coming to Christ.
Please pray and seriously seek God’s guidance as to your part in His plan.

Committee Applicants must complete the following steps
1. Read the Statement of Faith.
2. Review the Child Protection Policy and complete the Ministry Compliance Agreement. You do not need to complete the contact information form.
3. Complete the Conflict of Interest form.
4. Submit the Online Screening Form. (if you will also be working with the children, you may be asked to be fingerprinted through LiveScan instead.)
5. Fill out the Committee Questionnaire.
6. Complete the photo release form.

Child Protection Policy & Ministry Compliance Agreement
CEF is dedicated to providing a safe and secure environment for children. Screening is completed on applicants for any position, paid or volunteer, involving CEF® ministries and will be used to help CEF provide a safe and secure environment for children. Please read the Child Protection Policy before watching the Protecting Today’s Child video.

To be completed annually by all staff, volunteers, board or committee members who are involved in financial tasks or decisions.
Online Screening Form for Background Check
IMPORTANT: Due to online security, you will only have 40 minutes to complete the Online Screening Form. Before you begin, you will need the following information:
Three References, including your pastor or church leader, a current or previous employer, and a personal reference (non-relative). For each reference you will need Name, Relationship, Address, Phone Number and Email.
By filling out this form you are consenting to an official background/reference check.

To be signed by adult applicant or parent/guardian of minor.
I allow CEF to use photos of my child/myself for promotional and advertising purposes within CEF ministry. CEF does not sell the photos, and photos of children will not be published on Social Media. Your answer will not affect your volunteer status. (type name below to sign)
