Shelter in Grace

While many businesses and ministries have been forced to shut down during this time of shelter-in-place, CEF NorCal, by God’s grace, has found new and creative ways to continue reaching children with the Gospel of hope and salvation.  The Silicon Valley chapter was the first to be shut down, but volunteer Fu Ying, who leads three after-school Good News Clubs, gathered her teams together and pioneered Good News Club online through Zoom.  Since then, we have modified their Christian Youth in Action (CYIA) program to be held online in mid-July, and even have two students from Bermuda signed up!  CYIA will be followed by four weeks of Zoom 5-Day Club, taught by the CYIA students.

State-wide, Tony, our state director, has held online meetings and training for local directors and staff, who have been able to share ideas and help each other implement new ways to continue to reach the children.  An updated website and social media platforms are helping keep our volunteers and supporters informed.  Rather than being stuck in place, God is leading CEF NorCal to move forward and shelter-in-grace!
