Story from Field Missionary, Aaron Keller In our second week of Good News Club, we welcomed a fourth-grade boy who struggled to fit in and was quite disruptive making it hard for others to enjoy themselves. Despite warnings and having him sit next to a teacher, things didn’t improve and I considered reaching out to his mom. As a team, we prayed for him and asked others to join us. The following week he arrived looking angry, and I braced for a tough hour. However, one of the teachers invited him to help with a visual aid and sit next to her. He became attentive throughout the lesson—Praise the Lord! At the end of club, we walked him and his brother to meet their mom and had a chance to learn more about their lives. She told us they had made changes to his routine and it was helping to stabilize his mood. His mom expressed gratitude for the club and their need to get back in a church. |
