The Most Important Question Kids get asked a lot of questions by their Good News Club® teachers: Did you have a good day at school? What’s your favorite thing to do on the weekends? Can you name something God created? Do you have a Bible at home, or can we give you one? The list goes on! But the most important question that the kids get asked after hearing the Gospel message is: Will you believe in Jesus as the only one who can save you from your sins? In each Good News Club, the volunteers will be sure to present the Gospel and ask this question. This year, the response has been overwhelming! We have never seen so many kids indicate that they are trusting in Jesus for the first time. As each child indicates a new belief in Jesus, they are counseled by a trained volunteer for that salvation decision. Here’s a testimony from one Good News Club volunteer in Crescent City: At the Redwoods GNC I was telling the story when two boys began asking questions about some of the previous stories and the story I was telling. I realized that they needed these questions answered so I put the story down and began answering their questions. The other volunteers picked up on what was happening and chimed in with answers as the Holy Spirit led. It was a small class that day. After questions were answered I gave the invitation to accept Christ. The two boys raised their hands! The next week one of the boys brought his brother to the club and he accepted Christ that day!! Join us in praising God for this ripe harvest! Please pray that our teams will continue to be bold in asking this question, and that they will be sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s leading. |
