“I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the Father except through me.” Jesus spoke these words to His disciples to comfort them that though they might feel like they do not know the way, if they truly knew Jesus they knew the way to the Father. These words can comfort believers as we struggle our way through life, but they also stand as a stark truth: there is no way to God except through Jesus. Jesus is the only way, He is the only truth, and He is the only life. Every other “truth,” “way,” or “life” leads to destruction. That is why bringing Jesus to the next generation is so important! There are no other answers to the brokenness of our world. We can fight hunger, abuse, identity crisis issues, lies, bullying and all the world’s sinful ailments with vigor and courage- but if we fail to bring the truth of Jesus then we are failing to bring the true answer. Kids in the coming generation are going to face many challenges- the sins of past generations are coming around to curse the future of our world, the lust of the world will pull at their heartstrings seeking to break their wills, and if they are not secure in Christ they will succumb. Believers today MUST be burdened for the next generation. We MUST take up the commission to bring the gospel to a lost and perishing world! Jesus is the way. He is the truth. He is the life! Child Evangelism Fellowship is burdened for the children who have yet to hear. There are so many of those children right here on the Central Coast! We long to see them know our precious Lord. We long to bring them the truth, life and way of the gospel.
