24/25 Kick Off

On August 24 and 31, we held Kickoff training sessions with Good News Club Teams. Our East Bay teams are ready to start the new school year. There was joy and excitement in the room as we reviewed the first series and trained on key elements of a Good News Club. But there is nothing we can do without prayer! Please join us by keeping in prayer the GNC teams and the children to whom they will minister this year.

This was a great kickoff for 2024-25. Great things to learn and teach this September. Food and fellowship were also great. (Volunteer Testimony)

Good News Clubs Have Begun!

Six children came to GNC for our first meeting at Fairview. Two children were pre-registered from the internet. The rest came with registration forms. We were talking about the Kepler story, and I told the kids that before God had created the universe, He was in existence, because God is eternal. One of the students was able to articulate the meaning of our eternal God. She said, “God has no beginning and no ending.” (Volunteer Testimony)

God has blessed us to begin this school year with 13 teams. Please join us in prayer for approvals for the pending locations, and that the LORD will give us favor with the school administrative teams.

Outreach in the Richmond Community

CEF hosted a table at the Urban Fest and Healthcare in Richmond on September 21. I was already sharing the Wordless Book with three boys when D. came up. He listened for a while and then stopped me, asking if he could join us. I said yes and gave a recap before I proceeded. He was answering questions and listening attentively as I shared the Gospel. The LORD was at work. All four boys professed faith in Jesus and I gave thanks to God for them before they departed. I love how God moves at fairs! (Volunteer Testimony)

The team was able to share the Gospel with 26 children and 8 professed faith in Jesus. All glory to God.

⁃ We are seeking a release time club in Oakland. Please pray for favor with the decision makers.

⁃ Club that is pending approval (East Avenue) and new team locations (Emerson and Timber Point)
