Love One Another It is such a privilege to work with our ministry and office volunteers. Many of them are retired after many years of work, several more are widowed, some are young parents with children in elementary school. How to they find the time and desire to volunteer with us in Good News Club? The volunteers pictured above made felt Wordless Books this year so that every child could have one of their own! What a great labor of love!! I believe it is because the Lord creates us with a purpose in mind before we are born and uses all of our life experiences (positive and negative) to develop us into the role He designed for us. We were privileged to have 202 volunteers serve with us this year. They are compelled to love one another AND they know every child deserves the opportunity to learn about God’s love and plan for them. It’s not always easy, sometimes it can be inconvenient, but it is so rewarding. For me personally, it is a great joy to lead a child to Christ. If you understand God’s great love for you and feel compelled to love His children by sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with them, call us! Every volunteer must apply and pass a background and Live-scan fingerprinting with the DOJ and then be trained. But once you are trained, we have events year round and schools that need more volunteers for the upcoming school year that you can help. Plus, once you are trained it is a life skill you can apply to anyone, regardless of how young or old they may be! For God’s Glory, Tammy Beers |
