Welcome Samuel!

Introducing our Summer Missionary—Samuel Chan

My name is Samuel Chan and I am currently a student at Foothill Community College. I have done the CYIA program for two summers, and this will be my third with CYIA and CEF. This year has been a very exciting year as I started college and got busier, but still desired to work with CYIA amongst other activities. This goal was very ambitious, and did not seem plausible at first, but the Lord opened up a door for me – this position – that allows me to work and be a part of CEF. 

I truly believe that the Lord’s will for me is to work with CEF this summer, and maybe more after. I know that the ministry of reaching people for Christ has many different roles. Some feel called to full time missions; some feel called to be a pastor, or deacon; and some feel called to be a witness to their communities. I have had mentors in my life that felt called to children’s ministries and felt called to work in my life. I desire to pay it forward and to help change other children’s lives. The way that the Lord has led me to accomplish this is with CEF, to help prepare teens to witness, and to witness to children myself.

Christian Youth in Action^TM

Serving Christ is an adventure, and it can be a whole lot of fun! Christian Youth In Action is a week-long program that trains & equips teens and adults to present the Gospel in 5-Day Clubs^®—through Bible Lessons, Missionary Stories & more! Clubs are held for one hour each day, for five days & are taught using CEF materials. 5–Day Clubs are hosted in churches, parks, community centers, and in homes – bringing the Word of God straight to children and their families! Come join us & make a difference for Christ!

Valley Church, Cupertino

June 15, 17 – 21, 2024

Saturday 8:30 am—4:00 pm; Mon, Wed, Thurs 8:25 am—5:30 pm;

Tues, Fri 8:25 am—7:30 pm (dinner included)

$200—includes all materials ($160 if payment received by May 31)

A $10 non-refundable deposit must accompany application.

Balance is due by June 3, 2024.

Registration required by June 3. No late registrations will be accepted.

Kids 3rd—5th grade learn to share the Gospel with their friends, using the Wordless Book!

Junior Leadership is designed for children age 10 and up who have faithfully attended Good News Clubs, as well as for those who want to learn how to share the Gospel with others. These potential helpers are trained to share the Gospel through the Wordless book, Memory Verses & Songs. Together we learn the importance of serving God & others.
