Summer Missionary (2 positions available)
Status: Part time, Temporary June 10 – July 28
Pay Rate: $16/hour
Hours: Minimum of 10 hrs up to 20/week. flexible days (Mon – Saturday)
Requirements: At least 18 years old, possess a valid CA drivers license, proof of insurance, clean driving record.
Job Description
To reach children with the Gospel of Jesus Christ by teaching all roles of summer ministry, inviting them to believe in the Savior and counseling them for understanding, as a fully trained staff member and as a part of a ministry team.
General Responsibilities
- Lead and teach as needed in summer clubs/outreach events
- Attend staff meetings and ministry trainings
- Interact with staff, parents and children during ministry activities
- Confirm needed resources for each ministry activity
- Strive to develop and reflect Biblical character
Specific Responsibilities
- Train to teach all aspects of summer ministry (clubs and outreach) so that you can accept any assignment needed on a team.
- Schedule and confirm Summer Clubs with volunteer team members as directed by the Ministry Coordinator.
- Recruit volunteers for summer ministry, to the best of your ability.
- Assist with communicating essential information to volunteers to ensure appropriate staffing of Summer Clubs/Outreach events, including transportation needs.
- Lead teams when assigned for Summer Clubs/Outreach Events.
- Support the CEF Office as needed, when available (Includes helping greet visitors, preparing supplies and giving materials to volunteers.)
