CEF® NorCal Central Coast

CEF® NorCal Central Coast includes Monterey, Santa Cruz, and San Benito Counties!

We are so blessed by the diversity here, in people and our landscape. We have beaches, mountains, and farmlands that are home to more than 700,000 people.

However, according to a 2019 Barna study, the Monterey-Salinas area was listed as the 21st Most Post-Christian City in the America

That is why our endeavor to share the Good News of Jesus with the children in our community is crucial- for the lives of these children and to bring glory to God!

Our passion is to reach every child with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, disciple them in God’s Word, establish them in a local church, and help them to find ways to serve.

We are so excited to host our second annual Go & Tell 5K!

We are walking to raise the funds we need for this year’s summer ministry…a special time for our community to share the Gospel with children in fun ways outside of school.

This year we are walking along the Monterey Costal Trail, starting at First Baptist Church of Monterey and turning around at Lover’s Point Park.

We are keenly aware that all we desire to accomplish for the Lord can only happen with His blessing, as we ask that you would join our 24/7 prayer team by claiming one weekly 30 minute slot.

The more of us praying in unity for God’s guidance and provision and the closer we will be to His will in all we do.

“Prayer is not optional for the Christian; it is required.” -R.C. Sproul.

Please pray with us as we seek His face!

Good News Clubs® and 5-Day Clubs®!

What is a Good News Club?

CEF NorCal Central Coast’s passion is educating children about the Bible.

We believe it sets the standard for living, and  helps children grow as they learn about Jesus Christ.

Good News Clubs® are exciting and fun-filled clubs held once a week for 60-90 minutes in public schools!

Each club is led by trained volunteers and includes a clear presentation of the Gospel on a child’s level and an opportunity for children to trust Jesus as their Savior. These clubs use strong discipleship methods that build character and strengthen moral and spiritual growth.

Where are our

Good News Clubs?

We currently have 12 Good News Clubs on the Central Coast.

Our clubs are free for all kids grades K-6!

Don’t see a school near you? We are always looking to expand into more neighborhoods and schools! If you would like to see a Good News Club at your child’s school please email us today!

Clubs are fun, engaging, and teach timeless truths to the students that attend.

If there isn’t a Good News Club in your child’s school, please continue to check through the school year as the Lord provides for us to expand and reach every boy and girl.

5 Day Clubs

5-Day Clubs are an exciting, fun-filled hour and a half club held each day for five consecutive days. They include a dynamic Bible lesson, creative learning activities, inspiring missionary stories, meaningful songs, and life changing Scripture memorization.

These clubs usually revolve around a special theme, and can be hosted anywhere! Parks, schools, backyards, churches, or apartment complexes have all become meaningful locations when the Gospel is presented.

Please contact us if you are interested in hosting a 5-Day Club!

Volunteer with CEF Central Coast

Volunteer are the backbone of CEF’s ministries, and there are a variety of opportunities to serve!

We need volunteers at our outreach booths at community events, to host a Good News Club or Party Club, and to be the teachers in the Good News Clubs.

All of our volunteer are screened and trained to ensure successful Gospel presentations and to stay in alignment with CEF policies.

Volunteers range from 12-82 years old and can be from any denomination or walk of life.

Financial Partnership

Your partnership with us creates an eternal impact!

The funding we receive provides these clubs for free to children all around the Central Coast. It allows us to train our volunteers so that they are confident and able to share the Gospel well. It also allows us to provide quality materials at all of our outreaches.

What are some of the benefits of Good News Clubs?

Benefits of Bible Stories for Children

Learning the Bible provides a multitude of benefits to kids, including:

  • Provides Guidance – Children learn guidance through life lessons of the Bible. By listening to Bible stories, they learn about God’s word of how we should live and how to follow the path of righteousness.

  • Teaches Life Issues – Kids are going to experience many types of life issues and need to understand how to handle them. Bible stories explain how many different types of people faced problems in life with faith.

Benefits of After School Programs

After school programs offer many benefits to children of all ages, including:

  • Builds Confidence – After school programs help children push themselves in different ways to build confidence. They get to interact with other kids and find their strengths. Children learn positive character traits through various after school activities.

  • New Friendships – After school activities are the perfect way for kids to interact with others outside their classrooms. They get to meet different types of people and learn to socialize with everyone. New friendships blossom as they enjoy time together in after school programs.
