Our Ministries

Good News Club®

Good News Club®, our primary outreach, is an evangelistic after-school club taught in neighborhoods and on public elementary school campuses, with approval of the principal and school district. At Good News Club children learn life-changing Bible verses, dynamic lessons, and meaningful songs through fun activities. Trained teams of dedicated people from local churches– with a passion to share the Gospel– teach the 1.5 hour club one day a week. Parents must register their children to attend.

Fair Outreaches

Another way we outreach to the community is through holding evangelistic booths at local fairs and festivals. At our booths, we make Wordless Book bracelets using the different colored beads to share the Gospel message. We welcome any age to stop by our booth, sit down, and make a bracelet, while our trained volunteers share the Gospel.

Christian Youth In Action®

Christian Youth in Action® (CYIA™) trains teens and adults how to share the Gospel with children in a 5-Day Club, Sunday School, short term Mission Trips, or other setting. Our intensive training is held during the month of June for 6 days and includes hands-on experience. Following the training, students are required to teach three 5-Day Clubs or the equivalent using CEF materials.

5-Day Club®

5-Day Club® is an exciting, fun-filled, 1.5 hour club held each day for five consecutive days. It includes dynamic Bible lessons, creative learning activities, an inspiring missionary story, meaningful songs, and life-changing Scripture memorization. The Gospel is clearly presented each day. These clubs can be held in backyards, parks, apartment complexes, community centers, or just about anywhere the children can easily and safely meet with their parents’ permission.

Party Clubs

Party Clubs are a themed, 1.5 hour evangelistic club for children. These parties often take place in neighborhoods, churches, and local parks. Every Christmas and Easter, we look for Party Club hosts who will find a location to host the party, invite children, and provide a snack. Then our trained volunteers or CYIA missionaries put on the party! The outreach consists of Bible Teaching, games, songs, and an invitation to follow Jesus.

Junior Youth Challenge™ (JYC)

Children today face an increasingly dangerous and uncertain world. Many families—right here in our own communities—have no legacy of faith to pass on. They don’t know the reason for our hope. Junior Youth Challenge™ (JYC) meets young teens right where they are—in schools, community centers, churches, and neighborhood homes.

Each week trained and screened teachers lead action-packed clubs that make the timeless truths of God’s Word come alive. Through Bible lessons, discussions, music, and interactive activities, junior high students (6th–8th grade) and high school students (9th-12th grade) hear the Gospel and grow in their relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. JYC Clubs happen because of people like you!

Local Committee Member Opportunities

The Local Committee is an integral part of our ministry. They provide vision, oversight and community connections that allow us to grow each year. The Committee meets monthly for 1.5 hours and spends an average of an additional hour each month helping the ministry. Committee members should love Jesus, evangelism, and the Gospel; and they should be passionate about children coming to Christ.

If you or someone you know is interested in joining our Local Committee, please contact our office (510-214-0459) and set up a phone interview to learn more about this dynamic group.
