CEF® NorCal Central Coast

CEF® NorCal Central Coast includes Monterey, Santa Cruz and San Benito Counties. We are a diverse region with some areas of affluence and some areas of poverty, as well as foothills and farmlands. Our region is home to over 770,000 people. Unfortunately, according to a 2019 Barna Study, Monterey-Salinas are listed as the 14th most unchurched cities in the United States.

This is why we endeavor to share the Good News of Jesus with as many children as possible - for their good and God's glory!

Our passion is to reach every child with the Gospel of Jesus Christ, disciple them in God’s Word, establish them in a local church and help them find ways to serve.

We currently have Good News Clubs in 7 locations around the Central Coast. Our clubs are free to attend and open to all kids K-6! We are always looking to expand into more neighborhoods and schools. If you would like to see a Good News Club at your child’s school please email us today!

Benefits of Bible Stories for Children

Learning the Bible provides a multitude of benefits to kids, including:

  • Teaches Children to Follow the Word – If you want your child to learn to live a life filled with love and kindness, Bible study is the perfect way to help them treasure God’s word. They learn the essential aspect of following God’s best way.
  • Provides Guidance – Children learn guidance through life lessons of the Bible. By listening to Bible stories, they learn about God’s word of how we should live and how to follow the path of righteousness.
  • Strengthens Them – The Bible doesn’t promise a life without obstacles, so children must learn how to face problems in life. The Bible teaches kids to trust God and understand how their faith can move mountains.
  • Teaches Life Issues – Kids are going to experience many types of life issues and need to understand how to handle them. Bible stories explain how many different types of people faced problems in life with faith.

Benefits of After School Programs

After school programs offer many benefits to children of all ages, including:

  • Builds Confidence – After school programs help children push themselves in different ways to build confidence. They get to interact with other kids and find their strengths. Children learn positive character traits through various after school activities.
  • Teamwork Skills – Children work together and communicate to grow their teamwork skills. It’s important to let your child work towards a common goal and accomplish a task with others to understand the essential aspect of teamwork for success.
  • New Friendships – After school activities are the perfect way for kids to interact with others outside their classrooms. They get to meet different types of people and learn to socialize with everyone. New friendships blossom as they enjoy time together in after school programs.
  • Safety – Guardians know their children are in a safe place learning and playing with other people in after school activities. Monitored after school activities allow kids to have freedom in a safe place.
